Fika Architects partnered with Candid to design a modern retail space catering to medical cannabis users. The project overcame the unique challenge of poor soil conditions, as the site was a former landfill. To ensure structural stability, the building was supported on H-piles driven over 150 feet deep to reach appropriate bearing capacity.
The building’s design emphasizes functionality and aesthetics, with dark-colored natural materials chosen to complement the light-toned provisioning center to the east. This thoughtful approach created a visually cohesive and striking retail environment, blending innovation in construction with a refined architectural presence
